Parc Lakeview
Partners
Parc Lakeview is a collaborative planting between the Lakeview Terasse Association and its members , Pollinate Aylmer and the Outaouais chapter of Mères au front, the pan-Canadian mothers’ environmental movement. Located in the Lakeview neighbourhood — home to a residents’ association active since 1946 with approximately 300 households — this stop brings native habitat into a well-established residential park.
The partnership demonstrates how environmental activism and grassroots community gardening converge to create lasting habitat for pollinators.
Plants were grown by the neighbourhood association, and donated by Localeaf Nursery. Seeds for the meadow section of this project were donated by the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
